This grand path graciously opened her arms to me
With beauty as vast as the mighty sea
I could only hope to see where this could lead
And hence to walk forth, I gladly agreed
I tried to force my feet to only look ahead
Only bothering to see where this grandeur led
I have tried to jump, I have tried to run
Yet of all the stars I couldn’t even count one
I know that this path knows no end
Yet I foolishly hoped this path I could mend
I have tried to skip, I have tried to hop
Yet of the ocean I couldn’t even span a drop
Finally surrendering to my steps, I let them go
And walk wherever this path intended to show
And the more I walked, the more I knew
That with each step this beauty only grew
And I was wise to realise the truth anon
That a fool was I to blindly move on
And I finally realised that I was wrong
And that this journey was the destination all along
